Learn French online... It's fun and it works!
Bonjour!

I am having a good time making new friends all over the world and speaking French with new students. I work online with Skype [free] and a free smart board software. You can live anywhere in the world!

I am a native French speaker with over eight years in public education, certified in three states. Extensive experience in tutoring, one on one classes and group sessions. This is something I am passionate about. It's not a job, it's not a hobby, it's something I really enjoy doing. I try to integrate culture and history into my lessons to make them more interesting.

We work online with full access to the Internet and it's a very "interactive" session with songs, pictures, photographs, documents [WORD] video files, audio files and all kinds of interesting things to do.

It's not boring, for sure. I enjoy seeing my students becoming more and more confident with their new language skills and having some fun...

I have been teaching French to adults for the last eighteen years. We will connect PC to PC, which means NO long distance charges. I offer a flexible schedule depending on the amount of time you have and your budget. I can work with your budget. Special discounts for college students and retirees. Learning a foreign language just takes time, commitment and a system. You can master French with my help. I provide the system, a unique, common sense system that will get you there fast. Email me back for details. You'll be glad to you did!

I’ve been teaching English and French both in my home country France and in New Zealand. 1-on-1 and in community classes (in Auckland: Euroasia in Parnell and Mt Roskill Grammar School).
I have 3 degrees (see below) and also studied towards a "Teach French as a Second Language" degree (unfinished) and obviously English is my second language. I also learnt/studied Spanish, Italian, and German (my Baccalauréat was: 3 foreign languages, Philosophy and French). This provides me with a sound insight of what learning a language in a different country is about...an exciting challenge !
Description:
I moved to Aotearoa NZ at the end of 2003, from Paris where I was working for a Fashion & Textile magazine as an information researcher for their journalists… and I loved my job!
Since then, following a few migrant jobs and a good go at a career in food & hospitality, I decided to play my jokers, French and Information/Education.
I worked twelve years as an Auckland Council librarian and am just finished with a Facilities/Administration position for a government agency recently.
My qualifications:
BA in English (Licence, Tours, France)
Tourism Professional Diploma (CNED, France)
Master in Records/Knowledge management (BEPS, France).

Whether you're a beginner, are revamping your school French, wish to enjoy meaningful Conversational French, are studying towards the International Baccalaureate, or else...do contact me and we'll see from there.
We can either follow and deepen your school curriculum, or use my material.
I have developed a method, based on active interaction, sliding between all aspects of learning a language: reading, writing, listening, talking...translating when necessary. I add as much grammar as needed. I use Internet, books, images, my own material, etc..
We can meet at your place or at the library.
Am available for Online tutoring (Skype, Messenger, Whasapp).
I am back from 3 months travelling in France which has refreshed my knowledge of my home country; a culture I love to share!

I can also help with your English language needs: either with grammar, conversation, or specific needs.

Please do add your contact details when you message me.

‘I am an intermediate level French student and I have been having classes with Pascale for several months before a trip to France. I found Pascale to be friendly and knowledgable and I enjoyed our classes very much. Thanks Pascale’
Deborah Gates 25 Sept 2013

" I took a series of lessons with Pascale in May 2013. It was mostly revision at intermediate level. She is highly professional and clearly a skilled language tutor. She has an expert understanding of grammar, accent and idiomatic usage. She was prepared to give the lessons at my home and was open to suggestions for special exercises in conversational French.
I unhesitatingly recommend Pascale as a very friendly, practical and talented tutor".
Michael Corry, 27 May 2013

“I highly recommend Pascale for french classes. I attended private classes with Pascale weekly over a 6 month period. Her lessons were tailored
to suit my needs which were a complete beginner moving to France. She organized material that was relevant and practical and used different methods both written and oral. Her French education also extended to cultural and fundamentals of french life which helped me when I first arrived in France.
Pascale has a kind, nurturing manner and I really enjoyed my lessons with her. She equipped me with the sound basics to embark on my french adventures. I appreciated her good humor and straight forward approach to helping me achieve my french language goals.”

I would definitely recommend Pascale, she is a very accommodating tutor. I have been meeting Pascale for several months now to practise my speech and listening skills in french. I have found my confidence in speaking has greatly improved and Pascale has taught me a lot about french culture! Pascale is very attentive and puts a lot of effort into making sure I understand every lesson she is teaching. Every lesson is interactive and practical.

Pascale has been tutoring me in conversational French, in preparation for a holiday in France. I have thoroughly enjoyed our lessons, and have gained so much confidence. To work with a native speaker makes a huge difference in learning. I cannot praise Pascale enough. She has been generous with her time, and flexible to fit lessons around my shift work. Lesson material has been relevant to my needs, and we have used a variety of different mediums to achieve this. I am heading off on holiday knowing that I can make myself understood, and make basic conversation. I am looking forward to putting into practice all I have learnt.

Bonjour Pascale,

Thank you for all the valuable lessons so far on Skype. They have been very useful to me in improving my spoken and written French and I have enjoyed some laughs too! I have also appreciated the extra time you have given to help me with tricky questions. The only diffculties I have encountered have been with the reception on Skype sometimes, which has made it difficult to hear. Maybe I should try and work out a way to have face-to-face tutorials sometimes.

Merci beaucoup et a bientot,

Heather

I have been having lessons with Pascale for almost 2 terms. I had previously studied french in a class situation but find 1:1 better for me as at times in the class I felt like we were progressing too fast for me because we had a schedule or too slowly because others did not grasp what we were working on. Pascale is more like a friend now as we have had more lessons and it is always lovely to catch up for our lesson. She is always happy to try and accommodate you whether it be coming to you or meeting at a place suitable for the both of you.

Thanks to your tutoring, Catherine got an Excellence in her last NCEA French exam. She just needed a little extra confidence which you were able to give to her.

Madame Delos is a delightful teacher to have and I enjoyed my lessons with her very much. During those several months of one-on-one tutorial sessions with Madame Delos, Madame has not only helped me to develop my oral interaction skills, she has also helped me with improving my French writing techniques. Madame Delos has an engaging, flexible style of teaching and is excellent at developing her students' confidence in speaking French. I really enjoyed my lessons with Madame Delos.

Many thanks.

I have been tutoring a 12 year old pupil for 8 months. I taught her French grammar, vocabulary, general knowledge and litterature.
I have also helped other pupils to get organised and learn methods to work more efficiently.
Description:
Hi !
French is my mother tongue, and it is a wonderful language that expresses a very specific culture! That is why I always try to teach both of them; fun facts making the lesson easier to be remembered. I have also intended a French Intensive Literature School for two years after high school, which enables me to tutor students as well as pupils.
I believe that every one needs a different lesson plan, so I adapt myself. I am patient; I always try to get the pupil's interest and give him/her encouragement, since a low self-confidence often prevents him/her from improving.
Depending on the case, I can tutor at home, or in a library, or in any place that would be convenient for both of us.
Please do not hesitate to contact me!

Gender:Female
Location:Otago - Dunedin
Price Range:$10-20 per hour
Education Level:Bachelor Degree
Institute:Universite Paris 3 Sorbonne Nouvelle
Major:Theatre studies
Subject:FrenchLevel:All levels
Tutoring Experience:
I have been a tutor for French High school students in France in various subjects, and one for University students learning French in New Zealand.
Description:
As a Masters student doing an exchange year in Dunedin, I am taking papers and doing research in Theatre Studies at the University of Otago.
Having lived in many countries, I have been able to develop a few language skills (French, English, Arabic, German).
I have studied in different establishments in France, in many fields: theatre studies, languages and linguistics (including Latin), literature, philosophy, history.

I can offer tutoring in French or private lessons. For all levels, going from the basics to more advanced points of grammar, conversation (talking and pronunciation as well as listening & understanding) and writing.
I can have a very adaptable approach according to the student's needs and level. Possibility of introducing new tools to learn with and improve language skills.
Unless a very beginner, I would suggest a French only policy (but I can also give the lesson in English), in order to get as much practice as possible, and to develop an ear for the language, of course while being attentive of the student's needs and giving them as much confidence as possible to progress.
