Subject:MathsLevel:Secondary(Form 6-7)
Subject:MathsLevel:Secondary(Form 3-5)
Subject:MathsLevel:Primary
Tutoring Experience:
I had worked as a part-time teaching assistant for Maths Department of Auckland University for two years. At Auckland University I mainly worked on Stage One maths papers.

I used to tutor about 35 students on either one-to-one or small-group basis every week in my homeroom in Bucklands Beach, Manukau, Auckland. I was taking maths tutoring as my full-time job. My students' levels vary from Year 5 to Year 13 of NCEA and Cambridge. It is amazing that my students enjoy my tutoring very much as my tutoring let them feel maths is much, much easier. I am very glad and feel successful that I can help! Now with two kids I am taking much less workload compared with before.

See what people have said of me, you'll get to know me better!

'I was failing the coursework for maths 108 at the University of Auckland; the classes were quite big so it's hard for the teacher to help us outside of class hours. Lin agreed to tutor me and was able to simply explain the parts of the course which I couldn't comprehend. After just a few lessons I was confident in taking the final exam and passed with a B+. I owe it all to Lin.'

- Olive, an Auckland University Student

'Lin tutored me maths throughout my Year 11 as I was having trouble with the course work of Form 6 Mathematics. She was very helpful, and gave clear and concise explanations. She enabled me to pass NCEA Level 2 maths.'

- Benjamin, a Mt Albert Grammar Student

Hi Lin,

We thought you would like to know how Mike got on in his maths exams at the end of last year. He got achieved grades in all his maths questions with total credits of 18 for NCEA level 2 maths.

Thank you very much for tutoring Mike last year. Without your help we don't think he would have done so well.

We are moving to Christchurch on Monday, so hopefully we can find someone down there as good as you are at tutoring.

Thanks again

Linda and Geoff Smale (parents)
- Mike, a Howick College student

Last year, I was really struggling in the Cambridge IGCSE mathematics course therefore I was extremely worried about the up coming exams. Lin is a patient teacher. After a few lesson, I become more confident when doing mathematic problems. After all our hard-work, I achieved an A grade in my final maths exam. Thank you Lin!

At Just Maths Tuition, I have gained excellent knowledge of various mathematical concepts and this has helped me through my high school years.

I have achieved externals and internals with "excellence" in mathematics. I recommend every student to pay a visit to Just Maths Tuition.

Tutoring Experience:
I hav 4 years of experience tutoring in senior maths, physics and chemistry. I have tutored over 20 students in the recent two years in NCEA L2 maths, physics, chemistry; NCEA L3 Calculus, Statistics, Physics, chemistry; Cambridge maths and physics; Year 8 maths and science; Year 7 maths; and ESOL.

I hav a strong academic base in maths, physics and chemistry. I got NCEA Level 4 scholarship in Mathematics with Calculus, Statistics and Modelling, and Chemistry. In addition to that, I got top in Physics in both year 12 and year 13 in my high school.

So i'm very confident in tutoring physics, chemistry on both NCEA Level 2 and 3 basis; Calculus and Statistic on NCEA Level 3 basis; and maths (both NCEA Level 2 and Cambridge maths).

The method I use for tutoring would be giving handouts and notes with explanation, and answering any questions my students would have. I'm also capable of teaching beyond the school level since some people might aim for the scholarship level.

The place of tutoring is negotiable but preferrably in the city or mid Auckland. I speak English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Kia Ora! I am a recent graduate of The University of Waikato in hamilton. I completed a BSc majoring in biological sciences in 2004. My speciality includes explanation of biology across all levels (even perhaps university level yr 1-2). Papers i did in my final year include Advanced genetics, Advanced organic chemistry, Advanced analytical chemistry, Mammalian physiology, Microbial physiology and ecology, and, Environmental, forensic, toxicological and medicinal Chemistry.

I am from Singapore and english is my first language, hence i have no problems at all communicating in it.
