I am a senior ENGLISH HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER , fully New Zealand Trained and currently registered under the New Zealand Teachers' Council. My students both in school, and my private students have a reputation of academic excellence . I will tutor years 9 and 10, however, my area of expertise is senior NCEA English. Level 1,2 and 3. I have taught the NCEA English curriculum for 11 years in some of Auckland's finest schools.
PLEASE NOTE I CANNOT WORK MIRACLES IN TWO WEEKS BEFORE EXAMS FOR SENIORS STUDENTS - YOU NEED TO GET ONTO IT EARLY WITH THIS SUBJECT ;0)

I know the NCEA English Curriculum better than cheaper tutors outside of the education system. With me, you will have the knowledge that your tutor knows the intricacies of the NCEA system as well as having a thorough knowledge of her teaching subject. My students get results, simple as that. $60 per hour. I am a young, friendly and motivating female with many current resources at my fingertips to help your child.

I also have an esol teaching degree and am used to working with NCEA English with students for whom English is a second language.

Please note, spaces are limited. I come to you. North Shore only. If you should choose to use my services, please note that it will be on a weekly, or 2 weekly, basis. Failure to be at tutorial sessions agreed to will incur a $45 fee regardless of how much warning you give ( EVERY session you miss, is a missed opportunity for me to take someone off my wait list). Minimum number of initial tutorial session is 6. I have recently left teaching so amiable to tutor during work hours.
Tutorial lessons start at the agreed time. Being late will still mean you pay the full amount.
You are paying more as you are receiving tutoring not just feel
A native speaker, but a professional teacher versed in al aspects of NCEA. I know what they're looking for . Please note I do not do your homework for you . That won't help you in the long run, but u sure will help you get a good mark . Aim for Excellence , always.

My services are not just for foreign/ esol students . I am an English Literarure teacher of 11 years under my belt.

With class sizes bursting at the seams, a little one on one on how to write a good essay is beneficial to any student of English. I know from experience that teachers are now like butter spread too thin. Let me fill in the gaps and and show you your potential . You are not bad at English, your teacher doesn't hate you, there is just not enough time to give each student that we would like . The overall problem is thar resources are stretched right across our education sector. I can help you with anything spelling, grammar , essay writing etc. let me rebuild/ improve your self confidence !! Even in private schools, teacher resources are stretched. Dont wait till exams . Start now !! I get as much happiness in your confidence and success as you do .
Description:
I have been tutoring for over 12 years and teaching Senior High School English literature for 12 years.

I.e if your time slot is 4-5, and you arrive at 4:15, your lesson will finish at 5 and you will be charged the same amount as for an hour.

Sorry no one off lessons.
No waiting room for parents sorry. Off street parking is available for you wait for your child in the car
Parents "sitting in on " lessons is also not part of my tutoring style. It is distracting for the student as they feel pressured.
