English - I am able to help if English is not your first language. I'm more than happy to catch up over coffee or in a location of your choice in order to help you with your English conversation. We can also go over any written work, homework, assignments, or even non-fiction work that you want a second opinion on.

French - I'm currently in my third year of a French degree and am confident in helping with both written and spoken French up to (and including) first year university level. We can even start from scratch if you like!

I'm happy to meet anywhere you're happy with although the CBD is preferred - we can meet at a cafe, at uni, at school, or at home!

Tutoring Experience:
I have been tutoring students in English, History & Social Studies for 3 years. I have experience in regularly keeping up with coursework, to essay/internal prep and exam revision. Having also taught ESOL exclusively, I have a good knowledge base with foreign students adapting to the NZ school system.
Description:
I have a Bachelor of Combined Honours Degree in English & History and my Teaching Degree (currently teaching and registered with the NZ Teacher's Council). I am a Native English speaker from Canada.

During lessons, I work at the student's pace. It is important not to progress more quickly than the student can grasp. I am a firm believer that there are various different ways to learn any one concept - nothing is ever "too-hard", it just hasn't been taught yet in a way the student can understand.

I am happy to come to your home for tutoring or to meet at the local library.

Description:
Hi there,

I have completed a Bachelor of Arts attaining a Double Major degree in English Language, Literature, Writing and Media Studies

I like to make use of students current study material for essay planning and essay writing. For example to focus on gaining them great results in upcoming exams or assignments. Through this method I assist students in planning, and then coach them through a revision of several drafts which includes instruction on correct structure, language, punctuation and grammar use.

Further to this I can plan lessons in which these skills can be taught without the need for the student to have a current objective or goal (i.e exams/assignments)

I speak English, German and limited Spanish.

I am happy to conduct tutoring lessons in a public Library or at a students home.

Throughout my study I realize that skills in English and essay writing are vitally important as they are a core facet of any academic discipline. The skills I teach to students are practical, easy to grasp and will benefit the student through their lifetime, not simply one exam or essay.

The analytic skills developed through the study of English create perceptive, inquisitive minds.
